The idea behind the film is to show the process of MMJ legalization in Rhode Island from the patient's point of view. License To Grow featured interviews with influential people vocalizing their support of or their opposition to the legalization of Medicinal Marijuana. Additionally, with the backing of the Rhode Island Patient Advocacy Coalition (RIPAC) Josh was able to get in contact other MMJ patients, caregivers and he was granted access to many growers within the state who are in support of the documentary and the cause it is advocating for. On this project I worked with Josh F. a filmmaker, who is a Medical Marijuana (MMJ) patient in Rhode Island. Since he is directly affected by the legalization of MMJ, he was driven to produce the License To Grow documentary.
